Highlights

  • Arthur's Seat | Panoramic Bay Views from the Hilltop: One of the most iconic high vantage points on the Mornington Peninsula. At this stop, you will head to Arthur's Seat Summit for sweeping views over Port Phillip Bay and the peninsula coastline. We will also pass Murray's Lookout, a popular photo spot. Known by many visitors as the "Jay Chou Lookout", it offers cinematic scenery where the bay, shoreline and distant mountain ranges stretch out before you. On clear days, you can see the Melbourne skyline, the You Yangs and Mount Macedon. Take a short stroll around the lookout and capture photos with the whole bay in frame. According to official information, Murray’s Lookout overlooks the coastline from Mt Martha and Rosebud all the way to Point Nepean. No long-distance hiking here. You will have a full hour to soak in the views, take photos and enjoy the sea breeze. Your first impression of this trip starts from the hilltop.
  • Sorrento | Leisurely Afternoon in a Seaside Town: We arrive in Sorrento at midday, with around 75 minutes of free time for lunch and exploration. No rushed group meals. You may pick your own café, restaurant or dessert shop, or wander quietly through the town streets. Sorrento embodies the classic laid-back vibe of Mornington Peninsula’s seaside villages: coffee, fresh seafood, sweet treats and boutique stores, at a much slower pace than the city centre. Travel does not always have to be packed with sightseeing spots; the town itself is part of the experience.
  • Point Nepean × Fort Nepean | Hike to the Tip of the Cape: The highlight of the itinerary in the afternoon. The vehicle will stop at Gunner's Cottage, the furthest point accessible by car inside Point Nepean National Park. No shuttle bus will be available from here; we start our hike. Follow the coastline through historic military grounds for roughly 3 km (45 mins one way) to Fort Nepean. Along the way you will pass heritage sites including Fort Pearce, Pearce Barracks and Eagles Nest. Explore Fort Nepean at your leisure before retracing your steps back to Gunner's Cottage. Total distance: approx. 6 km return, Level 2 easy hike. This segment is not a quick photo stop before hopping back on the bus. You will walk on your own two feet all the way to the very end of the Mornington Peninsula.
